Today's Forecast

Today's Forecast Image
  • 82°
  • 65°

Rain and thunderstorms developed last night and then exited the region throughout the morning hours today.  The heaviest of rain again stayed in southern Siouxland although the thunderstorms were more widespread across Siouxland this time.  There will be additional chances of thunderstorms tonight although the potential for the really heavy rain isn't as great.  We'll still stand chances of rain on Friday with the best chances occurring in eastern Siouxland.  Once that cold front moves far enough to the east, we'll get to see our rain chances come to an end for Saturday.  However, by Sunday yet another front moves into the region and storms are again going to be a possibility with those chances continuing into Sunday night.  Labor Day is looking quieter and less humid.  In fact, most of next week should stay drier compared to what we have seen this week.

Chief Meteorologist Ron Demers
