OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - An Omaha man has been arrested after authorities say he was found in his pickup chasing deer through a southwest Omaha park.
Sarpy County Sheriff's deputies were called to Chalco Hills Recreation Area after midnight Thursday on a report of someone in a pickup ramming the park's security gate.
Deputies were later notified that the same truck had been seen chasing deer through a cornfield within the park.
A Nebraska State Patrol trooper spotted the pickup a short time later and attempted to stop it, but the driver refused to stop. Authorities say that led to 10-minute, high speed chase before 25-year-old Matthew Hagen was stopped and arrested after a brief struggle.
