UNDATED (KTIV) - Public schools in Madison and Norfolk, Nebraska will be closed on Friday after the state department of health notified administrators of probable cases of the H1N1 virus.
Madison Superintendent Dave Melick says the probable case comes from one student, who attends one building. The district will close, and clean, all of its public schools because the affected student has siblings that attend the other buildings.
Melick added that the move is just a precaution.
Norfolk, Nebraska's middle school will be closed on Friday, too. Superintendent Marlene Uhing says the state health department has identified a probable case of the H1N1 virus in that district.
The probable case comes from one student. That student attends the middle school, so Uhing says it will be closed and cleaned.
