SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) - The mug shot for a South Sioux City man charged in a fatal weekend stabbing, in Sioux City's Morningside neighborhood has been released.

Authorities say 25-year-old Shane Rouillard is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 22-year-old Robert Ryan.

According to court documents, authorities say Shane Rouillard and Robert Ryan got into an argument while some drinking had been going on early Saturday morning.

That's when police say Rouillard picked up a knife that he got in the residence, and stabbed Ryan multiple times.

Court documents say it happened at apartment 17 of Busch Mobile Home Court in Morningside.

Authorities say there had been a physical altercation prior to incident outside the trailer home.

The documents then say Shane 'Rouillard had been drinking' and he 'was with Robert Ryan alone in the residence'. That's when authorities say an altercation continued and Rouillard stabbed Ryan.

The documents then go on to say Ryan 'came from the residence and told one of his friends that Rouillard had slashed him' and then two friends of Ryan's took him 'to St.Luke's Regional Medical Center where Ryan died of stab wounds'.

Jana Irvin, who recently moved to the mobile home park, said she heard a commotion, looked out her window, and was shocked to see what she did.

"Two guys were screaming and one was saying 'O my Gosh'. And, they were in a red car and then I looked out the window and saw that they backed into a black Envoy. And then, they sped over the bushes and just took off," said Jana Irvin, neighbor.

The court documents say Ryan 'had defensive stab wounds on his hand in addition to multiple stab wounds on his upper body'. Authorities say the stab wounds to his upper body were around his heart and lungs.

While Irvin admitted the incident scared her, se says she was reassured by authorities.

"He just said it shouldn't be nothing that you should be worried or concerned about because it can happen anywhere," said Irvin.

According to these court documents Shane Rouillard no criminal background found, but he's scheduled to be in court for a preliminary hearing Wednesday, May 13th.
