YANKTON, S.D. (AP) - Authorities in Bon Homme County say the body of a missing boater was recovered Monday.
Forty-six year-old Michael Larson of Yankton was last seen on May 15 launching his boat in the Missouri River near Running Water. That afternoon, a boat was found running on a sandbar in the middle of the river but no one was on board.
Authorities say Larson's body was found by a fisherman Monday afternoon about 5 1/2 miles downstream from where the boat was recovered.
The Bon Homme County Sheriff's office was aided in the recovery by the state Game, Fish and Parks Department along with several volunteers.
