PAPILLION, Neb. (AP) - The Sarpy County attorney has charged a 53-year-old woman with motor vehicle homicide for the golf cart death of a woman last month.
Kim Mcillece is charged in an arrest warrant with the felony.
County Attorney Lee Polikov says Mcillece was driving the cart when it crashed on May 9, killing 60-year-old Debbie Deines.
Polikov says Deines was riding in the cart when it slipped down a culvert at Tiburon Golf Course and landed on top of her. Polikov says Mcillece had a blood alcohol level of about .198 - more than twice the legal driving limit.
Sarpy County deputies say Mcillece wasn't home Tuesday when they tried to serve the warrant.
Deines was an English teacher at Northwest High School for 25 years. She retired five years ago.
