DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) - A Dubuque man has been arrested following a standoff at his home.
Fifty-6-year-old John Boyd has been charged with domestic assault and first-degree harassment.
Police say officers were called to Boyd's house Wednesday on a report of a person with a gun. Officers surrounded the house and eventually made contact with Boyd.
Police say Boyd came out of the house on his own after about 30 minutes and was not armed. A gun wasn't found.
Police say Boyd assaulted his live-in girlfriend and threatened to shoot another person he was arguing with.
