GORDON, Neb. (AP) - A buyer has been found for a kosher slaughterhouse in Iowa, but it's not yet clear what will happen to Agriprocessors' plant near Gordon, Neb.
Last month, bankruptcy trustee Joe Sarachek said the closed Local Pride LLC plant near Gordon would be sold separately from the main Postville, Iowa, plant.
So the Local Pride plant will remain in limbo for the time being.
Sarachek said Tuesday that Hershey Friedman, president of Montreal-based Polystar Packaging, and two partners bought out the slaughterhouse's outstanding credit.
The lines of credit were valued at $21 million, but Sarachek says the group paid "significantly less."
