CRETE, Neb. (AP) - Organizers of a Crete campaign designed to celebrate diversity are inviting the community to dinner.
Organizers of the local "Nebraska Is Home" campaign are working with Doane College, the First Congregational United Church of Christ and other volunteers to put on their second community dinner.
Monday's event is aimed at promoting unity and giving community members a chance to get to know their neighbors.
The group says it drew a crowd of more than 200 to a community dinner held in April and hopes for repeat success.
