SHELDON, Iowa (KTIV) - People retire, but do their dreams?
The answer is no. And, Wednesday, handful of folks in Sheldon, Iowa, saw their dreams come true.
Just about everyone living at Fieldcrest Assisted Living told the staff what they have a dream of. Some wanted something as simple as a doll to remind them of their childhood, while another wanted to learn how to work a computer. One man wanted to take his great-grandson fishing. "I don't know if the staff is more excited or the residents, " said Judy Wallace. "They don't know what's going on because we've kept it all a secret."
The residents were surprised when they heard the news that their wishes would be granted.
Fieldcrest officials plan on having more of these kinds of programs in the future. They say, seeing the smiles on their residents' faces makes it all worth it.
