ATLANTIC, Iowa (AP) - Three western Iowa men have been charged in the beating of another man.
The Cass County sheriff's office says Alexander Dvorak, Cody Hogatt and Jonathan Pilgreen, all of Griswold, are accused in the beating of a Cumberland man on July 4.
Officials say the victim was beaten unconscious in Cumberland. The victim, who was not identified, suffered multiple facial fractures and breathing problems.
Authorities say Dvorak, who is in the Marines, is under arrest in California, where he is awaiting extradition to Iowa.
Dvorak is charged with attempted murder, conspiracy and willful injury.
Hogatt and Pilgreen are in the Cass County jail in Atlantic on charges of conspiracy and willful injury.
