GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KTIV) - A Nebraska jury has found a Mapleton, Iowa, woman guilty of three counts of felony cruel neglect of animals.
After deliberating on Thursday afternoon, and again Friday morning, a 12 person jury convicted Denise Withee of leaving dying dogs in a cornfield near Grand Island, last summer.
Withee is scheduled to be sentenced on September 24th.
Withee also faces charges of animal abuse and abandonment in Monona County, Iowa.
