CENTER, Neb. (AP) - Authorities have identified the 37-year-old man who died in a weekend plane crash in northeastern Nebraska.
The Knox County Sheriff's office said Monday that Dan Johnson from Lynch, Neb., was killed in the crash Saturday about two miles west of Verdel.
The crash destroyed the plane and injured the plane's pilot and owner, Richard Nielsen of Lynch.
A woman who answered the phone at the Niobrara Valley Hospital in Lynch said Nielsen was not a patient at the hospital. Previously, hospital officials had declined to reveal any information about Nielsen's condition because of privacy laws.
