HARBINE, Neb. (AP) - A Fairbury teenager critically injured in a southeast Nebraska car accident has died in a hospital.
Authorities say 17-year-old Scott Burkitt died Sunday at BryanLGH Medical Center West in Lincoln.
He had been driving east on U.S. Highway 136 Friday evening near Harbine when his car ran into a roadside ditch, then veered up and over an intersection.
He was flown to the hospital for treatment.
The crash cause is still being investigated.
