HENDERSON, Neb. (AP) - A driver who lost control of his van while heading onto Interstate 80 was fatally injured in a crash.
The York County sheriff's department says 26-year-old Nathan Mattes of Grand Island was on the eastbound onramp when his van went out of control about 6:55 a.m. Wednesday. It left the pavement, went into a roadside ditch and struck a tree.
Authorities say Mattes was wearing a seat belt.
