ALLIANCE, Neb. (AP) - A teenager driving alone on a rural highway in Nebraska's Panhandle has died in a rollover accident.
Authorities say 17-year-old Brittany Shaver of Hemingford died early Sunday morning.
The Nebraska State Patrol says Shaver was headed north on U.S. Highway 385 about three miles north of Alliance when her car drifted off the roadway.
As she tried to return it to the highway, she overcorrected and ran into the west ditch. Her car rolled 1 1/2 times, ejecting her. She was not wearing a seat belt.
