
UNDATED (KTIV) - A car crash near in Northeast Nebraska claimed the life of a 23-year-old man from Winnebago.
It happened just east of that town Saturday afternoon.
The Nebraska State Patrol says Terrence Smith lost control of his car and hit an embankment.
He was taken to a hospital in Winnebago, where he was pronounced dead.
Smith was alone in his car.
The Nebraska State Patrol says Smith was not wearing a seat belt.
Authorities in Yankton County, South Dakota say 59-year old David Pederson was killed when the motorcycle he was driving was hit by a pick-up truck.
Authorities say the accident happened Saturday evening at the intersection of Highway 52 and Deer Boulevard.
26-year-old Jon Porter of Tabor was cited for a stop sign violation.
He told authorities his view at the intersection was blocked by another car when he collided with the 59-year-old Yankton man.
One person is killed in an accident near Denison, Iowa Sunday.
It happened just after midnight, Sunday morning on Highway 59 about six miles South of Denison.
The Iowa State Patrol says the car driven by 70-year-old Gerald Fredrickson of Turin, Iowa made a left turn in front of an SUV driven by 27-year-old Noah Mayer of Harlen, Iowa.
The passenger in Fredrickson's car, 71-year-old Judith Fredrickson, was killed in the crash.
