ASHTON, Neb. (AP) - The crash of a pickup in rural Sherman County has killed an Ashton man.
The Sherman County sheriff's department says 27-year-old Jonathan Jerabek was eastbound in his truck a little after 9 Saturday night when he lost control of it at an intersection of county roads south of Ashton. The truck veered off the roadway, hit an embankment and flipped onto the driver's side.
Jerabek was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, where he was pronounced dead.
His two passengers were treated at the crash scene.
No one in the truck was ejected, but it was unclear whether any of them was wearing a seat belt.
