MOUNT RUSHMORE NATIONAL MEMORIAL, S.D. (AP) - Mount Rushmore National Memorial will be illuminated Friday evening into Saturday morning in remembrance of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
The lights usually go out after the regular evening program but will stay on and a park ranger will be stationed on the Grand View Terrace throughout the night to answer questions from visitors.
People who plan to attend should park on the upper levels of the parking garage.
