South Sioux man faces child abuse charges

Posted:

DAKOTA CITY, Neb. (KTIV) -- A South Sioux City, Nebraska man faces four counts of child abuse after a series of incidents back in May, including one where he allegedly threatened to kill his girlfriend's children.

The investigation of Eddy Vongsiprasom began when a mandatory reporter, who worked at a local daycare center, told police about a bump on the head of a 6-year-old. One of that child's older siblings told police that the suspect had hit the 6-year-old in the head because the child wasn't ready for school.

The children also told police about other alleged incidents the night before. That includes allegations that the suspect asked one of the children, "Who wants to die today?"

When a child reluctantly picked a sibling, the suspect allegedly threw him to the ground and said, quote "there's gonna be blood everywhere."

The suspect's trial starts October 26th.
