OTHO, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say a hiker was injured after falling off a cliff at Dolliver Memorial State Park near Otho (O'-tho) in north central Iowa
Officials say Robin Morandi, of Lehigh, slipped on some moss-covered rocks and fell about 20 feet onto a ledge on Thursday.
The ledge is the end of a rugged trail, across a rocky creek bed and up a rock wall about 12 feet tall.
Officials say Morandi used his cell phone to call a relative, who called for help.
Otho Fire Chief Marty Smith says crews couldn't see Morandi and found him by listening for his moans.
The Fort Dodge fire department brought special rope equipment to get Morandi down the cliff. He was taken to a Fort Dodge hospital with head and shoulder injuries.
