NEAR JEFFERSON, S.D. (KTIV) - Authorities in Union County, South Dakota say a woman, who was hit by an S-U-V while walking along a stretch of Siouxland interstate, was suicidal.
The victim, who is in serious condition at Sioux City's Mercy Medical Center, was walking northbound on I-29 two miles south of the Jefferson exit, when deputies say she jumped out in front of the vehicle.
The driver of the S-U-V wasn't hurt.
