DAKOTA CITY, Neb. (KTIV) - A man charged with murder in Dakota County, Nebraska was back in court Tuesday.
Attorneys for 31-year-old Andrew Orellana, and the state, discussed what evidence would be admitted at next month's trial. That includes evidence from an incident that took place in October of 1997 in which two rival gangs...one of which Orellana is allegedly a member of... shot at each other.
Orellana was picked up in Sioux City on a traffic charge. And, that's when authorities discovered he was wanted for the gang related killing of Joaquin Guerrero.
Orellana is accused of shooting Guerrero in retaliation for the gang shooting back in 1997.
His trial date has been set for October 7th.
