NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (AP) - Authorities say a Nebraska woman and a Wisconsin man are dead after a two-vehicle collision in south-central Nebraska.
The Nebraska State Patrol says 74-year-old Florence Skallberg of Holdrege and 60-year-old Thomas Varani of Mequon, Wis., were killed in Wednesday's crash near Elm Creek.
The patrol says Skallberg was northbound on U.S. Highway 183 when she crossed the center line and collided with Varani's vehicle.
Authorities say both drivers were wearing seat belts.
There were no passengers in either vehicle.
The investigation remains ongoing.
