PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - A man who pleaded guilty to setting a fire at an apartment building on the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation has been sentenced to nearly 3 1/2 years in prison.
Caleb Blue Arm of Eagle Butte was given a 41-month sentence for arson and was ordered to repay $29,650. He was sentenced this week in federal court in Pierre.
Blue Arm was accused of setting a fire last November at the Prairie Apartment Complex in Eagle Butte. He pleaded guilty in August.
Court documents say an intoxicated Blue Arm was upset when he could not find his wife and daughter. Court papers say he set fire to bedding in the apartment of his wife's sister.
