OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - A researcher with the Environmental Protection Agency will talk about education during a lecture at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Denise MacMillan works for the National Health and Environmental Research Laboratory in the EPA's Office of Research and Development in North Carolina. She received a bachelor's degree in chemistry from UNO in 1985.
MacMillan will talk about how her liberal arts education became an important asset in her job during a Nov. 9 lecture. It starts at 3 p.m. at the Durham Science Center. A reception will follow.
The lecture is part of the College of Arts and Sciences' Centennial Speaker Series.
