SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) - Sioux City will take another shot at the United States Hockey League Fall Classic.

The numbers are in for this year's event, which lures players, fans, and scouts from around the world,

Officials say the Fall Classic generated one point five million dollars for Sioux City in September.

After hosting the event for three years, organizers say they're ready for three more, and so are participants.

"Our intent is to go after it pretty strong.  We're committed to it from the Sports Authority side, so when we say plans are in the works, that means that we intend to have a bid in front of the USHL when they get there in February, and hope to be a player in the market, and I know there are other communities that are pretty interested in it," said Corey Westra, President of the Sioux City Sports Authority.

" They've talked nothing but highly about a first class organization on how we've run this Fall Classic here over the last number of years," added Rich Zaber, Vice President of Corporate Sales for the Musketeers.

Over 6,000 fans joined players from 32 states, six Canadian Provinces, South Africa, and several European countries for September's three day event.
