GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (AP) - An Arizona man has been sentenced to 24 years in federal prison for distributing drugs in Nebraska and Kansas as well as his home state.
Ignacio Sandoval-Sianuqui (ig-NAY-she-oh SAN-DOH-vahl SY-ahn-uh-quee) was convicted of conspiring to distribute methamphetamine and possession of 500 grams or more of meth with the intent to distribute. He was sentenced last week.
Nebraska U.S. Attorney Deborah Gilg said in a news release that witnesses testified the 39-year-old Sandoval-Sianuqui was living in Phoenix and provided them with several pounds of meth to distribute in Nebraska and Kansas. They sent back hundreds of thousands of dollars to Sandoval-Sianuqui as payment for the drugs.
U.S. District Judge Richard Kopf said total payments exceeded $1 million.
