Omaha native returns for UNO lecture

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Omaha native Marc Manganaro will return to the state next week as part of the University of Nebraska at Omaha's Centennial Speaker Series.

Manganaro will present the talk "The Road from Omaha: Reflections on a Life in the Not-So-Ivory Tower" at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Thompson Alumni Center on campus. The lecture is free to the public.

Manganaro is the dean of the College of Arts and Science at Gonzaga University. He got his bachelor's degree in English from UNO in 1977 and later earned degrees from San Francisco State University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
