SIOUX CITY (KTIV) -- The Sioux City Bandits won't be playing football games at the Tyson Events Center for a few more months, but have already signed players for the 2010 season.

New head coach Tommie Williams announced the signing of ten players. Five of the players are returning from last season. On offense, they include wide receiver Damon Mothershead, running back John Bentley, and quarterback Scott Jensen.

On defense, Sean Kelly is back, as is lineman Andy Poulosky. The Ponca native and former Husker led the team last season in sacks and tackles for loss.

"I think we've got some good players this year, new coaching staff coming in, I think they are going to bring in a lot of energy and be agressive on defense, which is good," said Poulosky.

"I'm excited to see these guys play with each other so we can have a successful program," said coach Williams. "I know they are excited about it, the fans are excited about it and the community is excited for it. We are just waiting for it to begin."

Among the newcomers is wide receiver Antuan Bloom, who caught 21 TD passes in his last two seasons at Morningside. Former Morningside wide receiver Trae Johnson is also coming back to Sioux City along with RB/WR Leon Hall, defensive lineman Lamain Rucker and quarterback Joe Brannen, who has experience in AF2.
