LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - The Nebraska Cattlemen say ranchers and feedlot owners should feel optimistic about their businesses, even though the last couple years have been difficult.
The trade group is going to offer an assessment of the beef industry at its annual convention in Kearney on Thursday.
Tom Field with the National Cattlemen says history suggests that tough conditions, like the relatively high corn prices of the last couple years, will pass.
But Field says beef producers need to pay attention to politics and regulatory debates in Washington D.C.
