WISNER, Neb. (KTIV) -- Authorities say they may never know what caused a fire that severely damaged two businesses in Wisner, Nebraska early Friday morning.
The fire broke out about 12:30 a.m. in downtown Wisner. Fire crews from West Point and Beemer were also called in to help put out the flames.
No one was hurt, but nearly $300,000 of damage was done to the two buildings
"The Sunshine Shop was about a $50,000 damage loss and the Nebraska Veterans Service's with the building and that was about a $218,000 in loss," says Jeff Going, an investigator with the State Fire Marshal's office.
Firefighters remained on the scene until about noon Friday. During the fire, Highway 275, going into Wisner, was reduced to two lanes.
