OMAHA, Neb. (KTIV) - It's only the second time in Nebraska history to happen; Quintuplets. A Sioux City couple recently welcomed five newborns into the world. As you can imagine, the new babies are keeping their parents quite busy.
Anna, Brody, Ciara, David, and Ella were born on October 11 at about two pounds each, just one minute apart from each other.
The last one to go home, little Ella, passed her tests Sunday evening. Her brothers and sisters already made the journey home.
Kevin, who is a dental hygienist, and Jodi, a family practice nurse, have their hands full.
"We're actually getting some sleep. We're just so happy," said new mom, Jodi McCormick.
"From the time of delivery, they were all individuals. They were all spunky. They had their typical problems of prematurity, but we couldn't have asked for a better outcome," said Dr. Terry Zach, of Omaha Nebraska.
"David is the most laid back, easy going and he's pretty care free," said new father Kevin McCormick.
"We're just going to give them lots of love and attention," said Kevin.
there will also be plenty of trips to the grocery store. Hospital officials estimate the McCormicks will go through 35,000 diapers.
But that's just one of the many challenges. "The first one is a learning experiences and after that it's not a problem," said Kevin about diaper changing.
