OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Two Omaha teenagers are facing criminal charges after one brought a loaded shotgun to school and in an unrelated incident, another used a stun gun on a staff member.
In the first case, police say they don't know what motivated a 15-year-old student to try to bring the firearm into North High School on Wednesday. A security guard stopped the boy at the door after spotting the student's duffel bag and becoming suspicious.
That boy faces several charges, including possession of a firearm on school grounds.
A Millard South student, meanwhile, could face a felony charge. Police say he used the stun gun on the school's athletic director, who had stepped in to break up a fight between students.
Police say the athletic director wasn't seriously injured.
