CLIMBING HILL, Iowa (KTIV) - A Siouxland soldier has been injured by an improvised explosive device in Iraq.
According to Kevin Lloyd, the father of Private First Class Kyle Lloyd, his son was hurt while on patrol in a convoy when a roadside bomb went off. No one else was hurt
Kevin Lloyd says his son, who's a 2003 graduate of Woodbury Central high school, in Moville, sustained injuries to his left leg. He's already had surgery to replace an artery in his leg. He still needs more surgeries.
He'll be transferred to a military hospital in Germany. Then he'll be moved to Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
