DES MOINES, Iowa (KTIV)--After nearly 25 years of being promoted as "The Other White Meat," pork is getting a new marketing slogan.
Starting today, the National Pork Board is replacing its well-known ad campaign with a new message: "Pork: Be Inspired."
The board will spend more than $11 million to roll out the campaign in this month and next.
Officials with the Iowa-based pork board say the goal of the new campaign is to see a 10 increase in sales by 2014.
They say Americans' consumption of pork has remained flat over the years while consumption of chicken has increased.
