KEARNEY, Neb. (AP) - A company from New Zealand is planning to move its headquarters to Kearney. Xylemer BioProducts will set up a production plant and use distillers grains to make a filler for the plastics industry. It plans to create about a dozen jobs.
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Investors who use TD Ameritrade are still being aggressive stock buyers. The online brokerage based in Omaha says its Investor Movement index increased to 5.42 in November from October's 5.07. That's the highest monthly score since June 2011. Twitter was a popular purchase.
MINATARE, Neb. (AP) - Authorities investigating the fatal shooting of a retired rodeo horse in the Nebraska Panhandle have been talking to hunters but they haven't made any arrests. The horse was shot last month on a ranch near Lake Minatare and had to be euthanized. The shooter could face felony charges.
BEATRICE, Neb. (AP) - A Texas educator has been chosen to lead Nebraska's Southeast Community College. Doctor Paul Illich will take over in July for the retiring Jack Huck. The college has campuses in Beatrice, Lincoln and Milford.
