He's known as the small town library cat that touched the world: Dewey Read More Books.
Details of his life are in a new book. Vicki Myron was working at the library the day Dewey was found in the book drop at the Spencer library.
He passed away in 2006, after serving as mascot for 19 years. Myron, who co-authored the book, says it's more than just a cat story, "It's actually my life story, the story of Spencer. Dewey's story is woven through because he was so tied to the library to me, and to the community of Spencer."
Myron says Dewey was so popular, he received e-mails from around the world and was featured in national magazines.
