Officials with the Woodbury County Democratic party say Earle Grueskin died early this morning, at his California home, after a long battle with brain cancer.
Grueskin was a businessman, who was first elected to the Sioux City city council in 1962... and later served as mayor. He also served as a Woodbury County supervisors.
Grueskin later worked for a wholesale food distributor, and was one of the first employees at Gateway.
Family memorial services will be held in California. And, a memorial service, in Sioux City, is still being worked out. Earle Grueskin was 79-years-old.
