1200 served at Goodwill Dinner

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) - Folks got into the giving spirit a little early.

Goodwill held their 81st Thanksgiving Day Dinner Sunday.

The Briar Cliff Women's Basketball team and well as local boy scouts served food and cleaned up after the meal.

Officials were glad to see so many enjoying the dinner with plenty of holiday cheer.

"It's a fun day because everybody is glad to be here, people can re-connect who haven't seen each other for a year, some friendships get made, and it's a family atmosphere," said John Hantla, President of Goodwill Industries.

Goodwill served over 1200 people Turkey dinner with all the trimmings.
