Orange City, IOWA (KTIV) - The 69th annual Orange City Tulip Festival has started and folks from all over are enjoying the festivities.
Over 100,000 visitors come to Orange City throughout the festival to enjoy the Dutch heritage.
The festivities include music and dancing by hundreds of children and adults in authentic costumes.
Festival coordinators say there is something for everyone from 9 a.m. until 11 p.m. daily.
"Our theme this year is our Dutch Corner of the World. We are proud of our traditions and our culture and our heritage. But we also want to recognize that Orange City is becoming made up of many cultures and so we are having an international fair," said Rachel Meekma, Tulip Festival Coordinator.
There are two parades daily featuring top area marching bands, a carnival midway and ethnic food treats.
