School's out for summer

Sioux City, IOWA (KTIV) - Sioux City Public Schools and Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools are "officially" out for the summer.

Kids are excited to be on summer break and many of them have a lot of plans.

Irving Elementary School 5th graders say it's been a good year and have a lot of memories of elementary school.

"My favorite part of 5th grade was we went to outside and played in the snow," said, Marin Mojica, 5th grader.

"It was fun. We got to play a lot of games, a lot of activities, also our teacher and it was a really fun year," said, Donnie Purcell, 5th grader.

Students at Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools, Holy Cross Elementary, say they are excited for summer too.

"Okoboji." "Kansas City maybe," Kindergartners.

"My friends are coming over lots," 1st Grader.

"I'm going to Wild Water West," 2nd Grader.

While a few said they will miss their friends and teachers at school, all the kids say they are very excited for summer vacation to start.
