Estherville, Iowa man charged in weekend stabbing


ESTHERVILLE, Iowa (KTIV) - An Estherville, Iowa man is facing attempted murder charges after a weekend stabbing.

Estherville police say they arrested 27-year-old Lyle Clarken.

Authorities say he stabbed 24-year-old Xavier Marquez about 13 times after a disagreement between the two men Saturday morning.

In addition to attempted murder, Clarken faces a charge of willful injury, and going armed with intent.

Clarken was taken to the Emmet county jail, but has since posted bail.
