SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) - For the second day in a row, emergency crews spend time cleaning up a mercury spill.
Thursday, the spill came on the northside.
Friday, workers at the Boys and Girls Home, on Court Street, reported finding mercury on the property next to a smaller building away from the main building.
Haz-mat officials checked it out, and found less than a pint of mercury on the site. Officials say the mercury, itself, doesn't pose a threat to anyone. It's the vapors that can be harmful. There's no word where the mecury-- at either spill site-- came from, or how it got there.
