SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -- A jury has cleared the Sioux City Community School District of any reponsiblility in a case of the alleged bullying of two students at West High School.

According to the lawsuit, filed on behalf of Ricky White Thunder, and his sister Jackie White Thunder, the district failed to protect them from being bullied and assaulted, in 2007 and 2008.

Their father claimed school officials were told of threats against his children, but did nothing to protect them.

A jury disagreed, and found in the school district's favor.

Superintendent Dr. Paul Gausman says West High administrators have worked tirelessly for the students involved in this case."

Gausman maintains the district works "diligently to prevent" bullying and harrassment.
