New shows arrive alongside new episodes of old favorites on NBC tonight

NBC's Thursday comedy lineup returns tonight 17th with all new episodes and one new show.

Last season's finale of "The Office" brought big news.

A baby's on the way.

Jenna Fischer stars as Pam, the newly expectant mom on the hit show.

"I was exactly as stunned as Jim And Pam were in the scene in the hospital when they found out", Fischer said.

Co-workers at Dunder Mifflin still don't know the news as the new season begins.

"The last thing Jim and Pam want is for Michael to find out that she's pregnant", Fischer said.

But of course, he does.

You'll have to tune in at 9pm ET to see what Michael does next.

Amy Poehler's real-life pregnancy was in its final days last year as a cast member on "Saturday Night Live".

Now Poehler's back in the SNL saddle for the first of two "Weekend Update" specials that will run at 8pm ET on Thursday nights.

Poehler reunites with co-anchor Seth Meyers who's looking forward to working again with his old friend.

"We've known each other a long time.  We have a nice chemistry", said Myers.

Poehler will be following herself with season two of NBC's "Parks And Recreation" at 8:30pm ET.

Her character, Leslie Knope, accidentally sets her small town on its ear.

"She marries two penguins and then finds out that they're both male.

And so, she unwittingly becomes A proponent for gay marriage", Poehler said.

The new show "Community" debuts on NBC's Thursday comedy lineup at 9:30pm ET.

It stars another SNL alum, Chevy Chase as well as Joel McHale, the host of E!s "The Soup".

McHale plays a lawyer whose past comes into question.

"He has to go back to school or he's going to be disbarred", said McHale.  It promises to be an education in more ways than one.

"The Jay Leno Show" rounds out NBC's Thursday lineup at 10pm et.
