Olympic Gold Medalist uses Muskies to bring awareness about health issues
Olympic Gold Medalist and "Miracle on Ice" Goalie Jim Craig is in Sioux city raising awareness about a health issue, and he's using the Sioux City Musketeers to help him.
Craig joined the Musketeers for a special practice Wednesday afternoon. Craig is the national spokesperson for The Ultimate Save campaign. The goal is to educate the public more on Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms. He says it's a deadly disease that affects men and woman 65 to 75 years old.
Statistics show it kills close to 15,000 people each year in the United States.
"We thought this would be a great way to use the Musketeers and the kids who are so big in the area as a platform to help raise awareness," said 1980 Gold Medalist Jim Craig.
