SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) - Andrew Orellana has taken the witness stand in his first-degree murder trial.
This morning, he testified that it was a man named Bobby Sears who shot Joaquin Guerrero 12 years ago in South Sioux City. Orellana says that on the night of the murder, he saw a fellow gang member hand a gun to Sears.
When asked why he didn't go to police, he said he was scared about retaliation from the gang he associated with. He also testified that he feared the rival gang would come after him and his family because some of his family members belonged to the rival gang.
Prosecutors are now cross examaning Orellana. We'll have more on his testimony tonight on News Channel Four.
