Sioux City receives money for more affordable housing

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -- Iowa's governor announces more than a million dollars to build affordable housing.

More than half of it will go to Siouxland Habitat for Humanity.

The organization requested the money to build four affordable single-family homes in Sioux City and one in Onawa. Some of the money will also help rehabilitate six homes in Sioux City.

The money comes from the I-JOBS initiative.
