Some new carts in Woodbury County will help precinct workers next election
Sioux City, IOWA (KTIV) - Some new carts in Woodbury County will help precinct workers next election.
Monday, the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors voted to buy 45 new precinct transport carts.
The carts transport the optical scanner, that counts the votes at each precinct and the automart, which is the disability voting equipment.
The cost of the new carts is $57,000.
"The equipment is large and bulky and it's hard for the precinct election officials to get that equipment situated. With the new carts, it's virtually done for them," said Pat Gill, Woodbury County Auditor.
The new carts will be ready for use in the next election.
